and no one will read this that cares anyways but I broke up with my girlfriend of 6 years on Saturday night/Sunday morning. It blows. We've spent 6 years together and I had figured to spend the rest of my life with her. My life feels so empty and I'm certain she doesn't even care that we're split. She's wanted this for a while and I've never wanted this but when someone stops caring how can you stay with them? I've been trying to keep the relationship together for a while now but I couldn't do it alone. She refuses to make sacrifices and she's never once put me above herself. Maybe that seems like I'm asking for too much but I've done it for her time and again. If she's got another guy lined up I feel sorry for him. It would be different if my breaking up with her mattered but if she can just move on then she can't learn what it is that makes a relationship go, she has no reason to change. I'm heart broken. I've lost my best friends, my girlfriend and my dog in one shot. I can't try to reconcile this, it has to come from her. She has to be willing to change, she has to miss me enough to want to do that.I doubt that's going to happen though. I'm not very missable. But I have to stay strong.

So I saw this in some asexuality livejournal thing today:
"It's such a shame society has gotten this way. I probably blame the media/entertainment business for most of it, but that's a whole different subject.
Sex has become such a casual 'no big deal' or 'you must do it to be with it' kind of thing, that people have forgotten the real reason for doing it. I'm reminded me of my freshman year of high school when we had to take sex ed in health class. The teacher asked the class to give reasons why people would have sex. Everyone was giving reasons like, it feels good, to have kids, to be popular, peer pressure. The teacher says, I know one reason that nobody has said yet, and it should be the most obvious. No one got it and she finally said, love."
This is so terribly untrue. This is the human manesfestation of sex, but people forget what the fuck Sex even stands for. Sex is short for sexual reproduction, which in lamens terms is to have kids. Love is involved no where in the name, yet humanity has construed it as such. Animals don't have sex due to a feeling of emotion they have it to carry out their basic instinctual need to carry out their species. It's a need not a want. Sex and love aren't correlated except in a human sense that its more logical to have sex with someone you love simply because you want to be sure of assistance when creating an offspring. Love gives that chance that you will have assistance in the years of the growing child. Love is the sexual security blanket, if it makes sex feel better its on;y because you lack the fear of being abandoned with the child.
Another note, men do not just like sex, we need sex. We have a basic instinctual need to carry out the life of our species. So while you might think you man is a horn dog remember that to him sex is like eating or breathing, its a necessity to him for proper mental health and long life. Stop treating sex like its some sort of holy right, its natural and necessary, a process that our body encourages us to have. We get rewarding endorphins when we accomplish this goal which are there only to encourage our use of the process. |

So Yeah Annie just left a little while ago, and I was kinda in a sad mood still cuz I wanted her to stay and knowing thatshe couldn't was just breaking my heart.
